Bio
I was born in Gainesville, Florida and have been making pottery on a potter's wheel for over 40 years. Following completion of my BFA at the University of Georgia in 1984, I went to work for my grandfather, Bill Gordy in Cartersville, Georgia. My grandfather was a lifelong potter as was his father and brother. In 2006 I moved back to Gainesville, Florida where I make one of a kind wood fired pottery and gas fired dinnerware. One of the unique things I make are pottery jars with wooden lids that I turn on a lathe.
